CROWN OF HONOR

The Crown of Honor Program is a dedicated initiative designed to support women veterans experiencing hair loss who require a cranial prosthesis. Through compassionate, personalized care, we guide each client with dignity and discretion throughout the process of selecting a medically necessary, custom hair replacement solution.

As an approved provider with the Department of Veterans Affairs, D.D. Daughters Lace Wig Beautique is proud to work directly with the VA to ensure a smooth and supportive experience from consultation to fitting.

It is both our honor and privilege to serve those who have served, and we extend our deepest gratitude for your sacrifice and commitment.

How To Begin our Program

Step 1: Your Eligibility

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) typically covers cranial prostheses at 100% for eligible veterans. Eligibility is based on medical necessity, meaning hair loss due to a medical condition or treatment such as alopecia, chemotherapy, or other health-related causes.

Step 2: Scheduling an Appointment with the VA

To begin the process, schedule an appointment with your VA healthcare provider. During your visit, discuss your hair loss or thinning concerns and how it is impacting your daily life and well-being.

Step 3: Obtaining Your Prescription

If your VA healthcare provider determines that a cranial prosthesis is medically necessary, they will issue a prescription. This prescription is required before we can begin any services or move forward with your custom unit.

Step 4: Schedule Your Hair Replacement Consultation with D.D. Daughters Lace Wig Beautique

Once your prescription has been approved, you are ready to schedule your consultation with our team.

During your consultation, we will:

  • Discuss your desired look and lifestyle needs

  • Take precise measurements and create a custom mold (if needed)

  • Select your unit specifications, including base type, color, density, length, texture, and style

Step 5: Creating Your Cranial Prosthesis

All of your custom specifications will be submitted to our team of skilled craftsmen. Your cranial prosthesis will be carefully constructed to meet your individual needs and preferences.

⏳ Production time is typically 6–8 weeks.

Step 6: Unit Fitting

Once your unit is complete, we will schedule your fitting appointment. During this visit, we will:

  • Ensure proper fit and comfort

  • Make any necessary adjustments

  • Style your unit to your preference

Our goal is to ensure you leave feeling confident, comfortable, and fully satisfied.

Step 7: Billing the VA

Once you are completely satisfied with your cranial prosthesis, we will handle the billing directly with the Department of Veterans Affairs on your behalf.

As an approved VA vendor, we are authorized to manage this process, allowing for a smooth, stress-free experience without additional administrative burden on you.

We are committed to supporting you throughout every stage of this journey—from your initial consultation to your final fitting and beyond. Our goal is to ensure you feel informed, cared for, and confident every step of the way.

It is truly our honor to serve those who have served.

If you have any questions or need assistance at any point in the process, please do not hesitate to reach out. Our team is here to guide and support you.
