If you’re a hairstylist, wig professional, beauty professional, or entrepreneur who has ever wanted to do more than simply provide a beauty service, becoming a cranial prosthesis specialist may be the next step in your career.

Working with clients experiencing hair loss is different.

Sometimes the person sitting in front of you isn’t looking for a new hairstyle. She may be experiencing alopecia, chemotherapy-related hair loss, thinning caused by a medical condition, or another form of medically related hair loss.

She may be looking for something that helps her recognize herself again.

And she needs a professional who understands that this work goes far beyond hair.

That is why I created Wig Whisperer Academy.

Why I Created the Cranial Prosthesis Specialist Certification Course

I’m Myisha Stratton, founder of Wig Whisperer Academy and owner of D.D. Daughters Lace Wig Beautique.

For more than 17 years, I have worked hands-on with women experiencing hair loss from chemotherapy, alopecia, radiation-related thinning, and other medical conditions.

Over the years, I realized there was a gap in our industry.

Clients needed knowledgeable and compassionate professionals who understood medical wigs and cranial prostheses, but beauty professionals also needed somewhere to learn how to actually build this type of business.

Not just how to work with hair.

Not just how to install a wig.

But how to understand the client, conduct the consultation, fit and customize medical wigs, handle documentation, understand insurance basics, communicate professionally with healthcare providers, and create systems for a medical wig business.

I knew I could teach that.

So I created the Cranial Prosthesis Specialist Certification Course from real-world experience.

This Isn’t Just Another Wig Class

There are plenty of classes that can teach you how to make or install a wig.

This course is different.

Wig Whisperer Academy was created to teach beauty professionals how to step into the medical hair replacement industry and understand the business behind serving clients experiencing medically related hair loss.

Inside the Cranial Prosthesis Specialist Certification Course, you’ll learn the difference between cosmetic wigs and cranial prostheses, how to properly measure and fit clients, how to customize medical wigs, how to conduct professional consultations, how to work with clients experiencing hair loss, how to handle documentation and insurance basics, and how to position yourself professionally in this specialized industry.

The goal is for you to understand not only what to do, but also why you’re doing it and what comes next.

You Don’t Have to Figure It Out Alone

One of the biggest things I wanted Wig Whisperer Academy to provide was access.

I remember what it was like to have questions and have to figure things out along the way.

That is not how I want my students to learn.

When you enroll, you’re not simply purchasing information and being left alone to work through it.

You have access to mentorship, guidance, continued education, resources, and a community of other professionals building in the same industry.

We can talk through the questions that come up when you begin putting what you’ve learned into practice.

Because sometimes the question isn’t:

“What does this lesson mean?”

Sometimes it’s:

“What do I do next?”

“How do I get clients?”

“What documentation do I need?”

“How do I handle this situation with a client?”

“How do I actually turn what I learned into a business?”

Those are the questions that can come up once you begin doing the work.

And that is why mentorship matters.

There Is More Than One Opportunity in Medical Hair Replacement

Becoming a cranial prosthesis specialist can open the door to a very specialized area of the beauty and hair replacement industry.

You may choose to work directly with medical hair loss clients, offer cranial prosthesis consultations and fittings, build relationships with healthcare professionals, add medical wig services to an existing salon, or develop a business focused specifically on hair replacement.

For an experienced beauty professional, it can also provide an opportunity to expand beyond traditional salon services and serve a population that needs professionals who understand both the beauty side and the medical hair replacement process.

But for me, the most meaningful part will always be the client.

There is something powerful about helping someone who has experienced hair loss look in the mirror and feel more like herself again.

That is the heart behind this work.

I Built the Course I Wish Had Been Available to Me

Wig Whisperer Academy wasn’t created from theory.

It was built from years of experience, lessons learned, questions asked, systems developed, mistakes corrected, and real clients served.

I took what I learned along the way and organized it into a program so the next professional doesn’t have to start from zero.

Every lesson, module, resource, template, mentorship session, and training opportunity has a purpose.

I want you to understand the industry.

I want you to understand the business.

I want you to understand how to serve your clients professionally.

And most importantly, I want you to have direction once the class is over.

Could This Be Your Next Chapter?

Maybe you’ve been doing hair for years and you’re ready for something different.

Maybe you already work with wigs but want to expand into medical wigs and cranial prostheses.

Maybe you’ve experienced hair loss personally or watched someone you love go through it, and this type of work has a deeper meaning for you.

Or maybe you recently discovered this industry and thought:

“I didn’t even know this was something I could do.”

It is.

And you don’t have to know everything before you begin.

You need education, a system, support, and the willingness to learn.
