Wig Whisperer (Academy Director)
Wig Whisperer Academy Founder and Director

Myisha Stratton is a licensed cosmetologist, certified medical assistant, and Cranial Prosthesis Specialist who has built a distinctive career at the intersection of health care and beauty.
She studied Business Administration at Manor College and the University of Phoenix, combining formal business education with technical training in cosmetology. She graduated from Empire Beauty School in 1996, becoming a licensed cosmetologist and beginning her professional career in the beauty industry.
Shortly thereafter, she expanded her clinical knowledge by completing a Medical Assistant program at Thompson Institute, earning certification and transitioning into the healthcare field. From 2000 to 2008, she worked within major health systems including Albert Einstein Healthcare Network and Jefferson Health, gaining firsthand experience in patient care, medical documentation, and insurance processes.
In 2008, Myisha made a defining career decision: she resigned from the healthcare system and opened her own salon, intentionally merging her dual backgrounds in medicine and cosmetology. She created a health-and-beauty model that married insurance advocacy with cranial prosthesis services—helping women experiencing medical hair loss secure insurance reimbursement for therapeutic wigs.
Through D.D. Daughters Lace Wig Beautique, she pioneered a niche model that positioned beauty services within a medical reimbursement framework. For 17 years, she has operated as a brick-and-mortar business owner, long before medical wig services became widely recognized or popularized. Today, as awareness grows around cranial prosthesis coverage and medical hair loss solutions, her vision is being fully realized.
Women from across the United States have traveled to receive her services, affirming the demand for specialized, compassionate, and clinically informed hair restoration care. Myisha continues to soar in her career, standing at the forefront of an industry that is only now catching up to the integrated model she established nearly two decades ago.
